I have had a few of these. I am not sure of the name.

This year I am potting it up and taking no chances. After thinking of what I lost last winter, it makes me sick! No messing around!

This one has grown at least 3 times it's size in one season in the ground under that Staghorn Fern.

Yes I think I remember that!

Thanks for the real name!

This year I refuse to lose !

It is getting balled and potted up!
I would think being North of me you would have had a hard winter last year. I had at least 4 freezes 2 very hard long ones. That is for being in the subtropics! Plants and trees that have survived for many many years froze to the ground. It was a freak deal. Or just nature changing around use changing nature!

Back to the plant, this one is a rescue.
It was in a pot and not looked after for sometime.
That is were injunjoe comes in and saves the plant!

i used to have one of those and i divided it. i think i lost them all this past winter. some got too cold and i think others rotted. they like to be dry and potbound so i hear. they root from leaves too, sposed to be pretty easy.

my winter was actually kind of mild last year. it only froze a few times, however when it did once it was like 19 which is unusual.

Being such a water holding plant I would put it in a clay pot.
I think I may have had one rot on me also.

The weather is only going to get crazier as time goes on!
I have never seen such hard freezes in 39 years being here.
Freeze yes but 4 or 5 lasting over 8 hours each not that I can recall.
