I've been a little frantic here. Olivers veterinary appointment was put back due to other cats and kittens emergencies.

Meanwhile our landlords are commencing with works here in my home and throughout the road.
This is how I lost Oliver the last time. Resulting in him losing almost all of his body weight and badly fracturing his teeth.

Thankfully I had a surprise message this morning. He's being admitted on Tuesday. :clap :ya

My next problem is getting him back into a carrier. I have one that was used for Timmy.
It's not really big enough but I am hoping we can manage. I fed him mince beef in it a while ago and I'll be feeding him in there from now on.

He has put on weight, which is a good thing but still worrying about this carrier. As I don't have time to order anything else right now and funds are being stretched to my limits.

Apparently these front clipped carriers can often fail, according to this cat rescue. I looked for a carrier cage, they are really expensive and the cheaper ones look like junk to me.

Wish us luck because we need it.

I had a feral cat that had a similar issue . It was tricky to get near him to feed or pet. I had to throw a large towel over him once he was in the porch area and wrapped it tight around him so he couldn’t move , then placed the collar and leash on him to quickly pop him in the carrier. It was a hard plastic carrier so he couldn’t scratch me. In time he was sitting on my lap and begging for attention.

He was a Manx tuxedo cat with a short tail.. wild as all get out. He adopted me mainly because out in the country where I live I am usually the only people person out in my yard daily and he would come visit me every day and watch me the whole time until I finally started feeding him after no one around knew where he came from.

During early days before I could get near him I was standing in the way to block him where he couldn’t jump the gate and get off the porch because I needed to put a flea collar on him. Would you believe he jumped with such force as I blocked him with my arms that he hit my hand as he was jumping up and actually broke my pinky finger. My pinky still has a curly tip.

Marie Plz… be careful… cats are so strong when they are frightened. 🐱

I discovered that he communicates through various hissing sound's.
There is the angry, wanting and asking me to get away from his Potty.

He meowed yesterday when i was out of my kitchen. Sort of calling me.
He's starting to maneuver through the hall and living room when we are out. I think he looked through to my bedroom earlier. When my living room door is shut he wanderers through the hallway.

I have been feeding him in the carrier in hopes of trapping him for his dental surgery on Tuesday.

I will be careful I promise. Thank you for sharing your experience.
What happened to that cat? Is he still around?

Oh my it is really cold outside. I had to put a thick coat on to take Nancy for her wee.

Forecast is saying it's going to snow ❄️ 😳

Oliver is snuggled in his warm bed .

I can see that he has gained his weight back, thank goodness

He is venturing through the hall and has started getting onto his climbing area to grab his iams biscuits.
