the craziest plant you grew in home

Wow, Jack! Did it grow that much and bloom since 12/7? Or was that pic taken before? Nice job.
It certainly did. I have another started and a VERY FRAGRANT Carnation named Miss Aroma just about ready to flower. It is the plant behind the zinnia. And, just for practice I have another coffee container going that has a single plant of red salad bowl lettuce. I love to fool Mother Nature. Add to that, the darn olive trees are going to flower and I am going to have to hand pollinate them with an artist brush..... I hate that. I wish they would wait for spring and flower outdoors like they should.

Another plant I grew indoors this winter to have some color and fragrance is a Miss Aroma Carnation. Described as follows:
Miss Aroma ( Dianthus caryophyllus )
A fragrant carnation that is compact, and the beautiful double flowers have an absolutely exquisite scent, spread out 6" pots of these in bloom and create a fragrant sensation, grows only 8" tall, annual or perennial to zone 4.
The flowers are fragrant and large, but just my luck of all seeds in the package I picked one that produced a white flower. Oh well, they do smell nice.

Growing a single leaf lettuce plant in a recycled coffee container is pretty crazy, but at least I know that the package of seeds is still viable. I will probably have to arm wrestle my wife to see who gets to eat the lettuce. ;)
