"The Crossroads of America!" Crossroads/Merry-Go-Round? Are we closing in on an easiest route to take?

Sometimes, I have felt that it would be a lot easier to divide a garden, say in quarters, with fencing and grow crops just for the chickens. Then, the gardener's harvest would be eggs and meat.
