Great shots of a special happening. I'd never have my camera with me for a photo like that.

Love the close up picture the best (of course).

This summer I watched a sandhill crane fly from somewhere near the neighbors. It followed my gully as it flew a few feet off the ground. No camera.

It is across the road. It is and old deed. We actually own up to the middle if the river!

One of my favorite birds...LOVE seeing them standing in the shallows, all hunched over like little old men. Great pics of a lovely bird!!! Thank you for sharing these.

I was lucky.I actually had time to run into the house to get the camera. They are not that fearful of humans. (Or not very smart.) They are very slow when walking and as graceful as a pterodactyl. They crash land into the river.

I love blue herons, too. It sure seems like there are a lot more of them now than when I was young. Great pics, catjac.
