The perfect sweet ice tea recipe?

The tea was HUGE hit! Even I had to admit it was a smooth glass of tea with the perfect level of sugar, so I was quite pleased. My DIL said she needed the recipe, so it was a success.

Even Ben liked it....kept trying to steal a nip out of my cup!

Both gallons are now GONE. I must admit I drank quite a bit, as it was truly thirst quenching as we worked today, so I'll most likely be up the rest of the night.

Well...it was only in the 70s and we were working in the shade, so not necessarily the heat...but, I'd say it was the baking soda, the right amount of sweetness and tea flavor in a great balance and it was really GOOD!

Today they were very put out that I had not made more tea for today's working...but I couldn't leave it alone yesterday and was up until 5am trying to get to sleep from all that caffeine! No more tea for now.

What about using decaffeinated tea bags ?

2 bags of Constant Comment tea, 3 large (family size) orange pekoe tea, use a tea maker, 6-7 Sweet N Low.
We drink tea 24/7/365 and really should own stock in it.

Note large amounts of tea and dairy equals kidney stones. Friend loved ice tea and ice cream, got kidney stones once a year till a new Dr warned him

He should eat lots of watermelon, I hear that it helps with kidney stones.
