So I made an eggplant creole yesterday and for spice I used one red cayane from my garden. I was thinking one cayanne is equal to one jalapeno. Oh no no no no. the cayanne is hot. Like really hot and hot. but oh so delish!

I'm quite fond of hot dishes myself but I don't grow peppers. I have no idea why. Just silly I guess :idunno Maybe next year....

I LOVE cayanne pepers! We grow these every year to make salsa with. I just love the flavor of them and they have many health benifits also. ;)

Yummmmmmm....

To die for spice!!! :D

I do have a patio FULL of Thai Chilies... I must go photo them... they look gorgeous!!!

Mo hotta mo betta!

Sliced a whole habenero and mixed it into a turkey burger today.

All way great until I touched my eye before washing my hands!!!!

I like to dry them and crush them. And serranos too. I put them on everything. Good on chicken noodle soup when you're sick--helps open you up! I always deliberately grow way more than I can use then string them to hang on the wall for decoration. I just crush them as I need them.

I am not a big HOT person but I do grow peppers. If you seed them it helps, but it is better just to use a small piece of peppers instead of a whole pepper. When I make pickles I use 1 pepper for the whole batch (just cut into small pieces). Some will add a pepper per jar but I just can't do that kind of heat.
