We keep our upright in the garage and our chest in the basement. The garage does just fine winter and summer. Avg summer temp is around 88 but it does go up to 98 on occasion. We have a north facing garage that is not insulated. It usually runs about 20 degrees warmer than outside. Has gotten down to around 15 in the garage. Freezers been fine for 5 years out there. Keep it full and it works less. If you have 2 freezers be sure your breaker can handle it.
