will agree with @dickiebird the rubber bushings need to be replaced.... 200.00 now or 500.00 down the road<just using those prices as for instance. be proactive rather than reactive....if you get my drift

Would it be better to take the lift out or put a new lift kit in? Price cheaper to take out, but will have to buy smaller tires. I am just wondering which if any would be safer or better for the truck. Would the frame be weaker now or messed up with the lift out?

being a 19 year old truck. imho how much money do you really want to put into it?

as for the lift would think it's best to take the truck to a lift shop and asked this question, they would give you an honest answer plus a price...
