unrelenting cold and snow, Northeast

Negative 15 here, @so lucky. I had a feeling we were going to pay for that mild January. It wasn't unusually warm, it was just late getting here. Just hoping those mean temps on @digitS' map move outa here before Spring and we are all in the pink, or maybe yellow or I'll be complaining it's too hot! :D

How about this one?

LOL (although not too funny if you are in the NEVER zone!) I am on the border of the never and slow transition. SLOW it has been. Wind chill -25 this a.m. high of maybe 9 today. UGH

I'm in never, never land....but I have hope! This is just a last ditch swipe of the paw from winter and then we will be in March...the year is at the mercy of the calendar. Garden season will be on us before we know it, then the heat of summer when we'll be sitting around wondering where we can get some of that nice, cool air. :D

The world still wobbles ... :)

We see the stories with every major storm as we watch the news. It's okay. The news should mostly be about people. More people - More news.

But, this gives us another map for comparison: from the National Park Service.
