My dog, "Pyg" who loves her kitties, will find rabbit nests and share with them. The cats hunt them also and I see them in the yard but no evidence in my garden, just bug bites on my cabbage.

The Hound group is dived in to 2 groups. Scent hounds they hunt by following a scent trail to prey, Sight hounds they hunt by seeing prey then out running it. A sight hound used for hunting is called coursing. Many sight hound clubs look for places they can course ( hunt ) with their dogs. A rabbit no matter how fast has little chance of out running a grey hound or other sight hound.

Ah, MAN!!! Just when you make your mind up to eradicate all rabbits from the planet, you look down in the yard, RIGHT WHERE DH JUST MOWED, see some polyester fluff, tug on it and see 5 baby rabbits peek out...aaaaaaaand your heart melts!

I must be hard hearted. I'd call the dogs so they could eat those baby rabbits. I hate all these darn rabbits that eat my garden up. There is even a rabbit that comes in the barn to eat the horse feed pellets that they drop.

The baby cotton tails are cute, don't see the baby Jacks~just the big ugly Watership down kind~so ugly thy're scary. I shot a couple but they watch the house and listen then run like smoking oakum.

I take them with a pellet gun, I could do them in front with daughter's 4-10.
