What I've been up to...

My sister, her husband, daughter and grandkids took the long trip from MO to CA to see our parents and help do some needed upkeep on their house. They were in a time crunch as my BIL only had a limited time off from work, as this was an unscheduled trip.

We were thrilled that they were able to come up here and stay a couple of days with us, so we packed as much fun and visiting into a few days as we could.

Here's some pix I wanted to share with you guys of some of our time together.

We did a little 4 wheelin'....

Made some giant bubbles....

POPPED some giant bubbles...!

Talked some smack with the goats....

fed the goats......

Petted the chickens....

Collected eggs...

Played ball with Wren.....

and did lots of laughing and talking and eating and wishing we didn't live so far from each other.

We have another round of relatives arriving Tuesday, then we will be making the trip down to see mom and take care of whatever we are able.

Looks you all had a great time with lots of fun. That is some good that has come out of a bad situation. Thistle, your parents live in California? If so, are they close to the bay area? I would love to see you.

WOW Thistle those are some great action shots! Cool bubbles. I will assume that is your yardd, better than a ny campground for sure. Looks like everyone had a LOT of fun. I am lucky that immediate family is close. As Major said. Family time is priceless and wishing you all safe travels.

I had one of those bubble wands when I was a kid. Super fun!

Looks like your backyard is the perfect place to go camping. I enjoyed seeing your goats and your cute hen house too!
