A friend of mine has had beautiful potato plants with no potatoes! This year I gave her some of my potatoes and she had the same problem and my potatoes were great. We have the same raised beds with the same kind of dirt. What could be the problem?:he

Here's a possible problem -- insufficient soil moisture.

And, here's a problem I don't have up here in the north -- high soil temperatures during early growth stages.

What do you think?

It could be the fertilizer or the lack of.
Fertilizer rates should be based on results of a soil test; a typical rate would be two and a half to three pounds of 8-16-16, 10-20-20,( I like 6-24-24 ) or equivalent per 100 square feet.
