SeedO maybe you where born in the wrong century! You certainly are mature beyond your years. ( I say that as a good thing.) :) And Baymule, you are not alone. No facebook, no tweets and only have a cell phone in my purse for emergencies. Oh-well I kind of like it here in the dark ages.

Hmm, I wonder if this has something to do with that time warp Cane was experiencing. We need somebody on the bottom of this - Sherlock Holmes!

If only I could choose to be born in another century I would be right here, early 1800's.

I didn't know what cray-cray was either! I like it in the nice comfy dark ages, too. No tweeting or facing a book for me. Although, I have considered facebook as a way to advance my attempt at selling my handcrafted items. But then I might have to actually work at it.

Now that is an interesting thought! I would like to be right here about that time, too.

I would do well in that time period as well, if I had DH along to clear the land, hunt the protein, and help build the homestead, but no way I'd want to go back to that time period and watch my family die from easily cured conditions.

Time and technology are passing this dinosaur too quickly, and I see little need for constant communication, but I appreciate much of what 2014 has to offer in other realms.

Can the 2 of you show up as my neighbors too, Red?

K So, Except I probably would not have been concieved without mid-20th century medical science. If, by chance I would have been born, I may well not have survived the 1st week or the onset of rheumatoid arthritis or the bout with pneumonia when I was 15 . . .

I'm not ready to bug out just yet. I'm hip with what you all are saying. It's cool.

Nobody is more hardcore than yours truly. Got to go. Later. Oh My Gosh.

Wow, maybe I won't look like such a freak to this group! No Facebook, no tweets, no cell phone or text message, no TV. But I do spend quite a bit of time on this IPad....

Nah, you're in good company here! That's why I enjoy the company of all you down-to-earth folks. I had a facebook for awhile, but killed it a few months ago because I couldn't take all the craziness. Best. Decision. EVER.

I keep having to remind my friends NOT to text me because I don't have a smart phone or data plan. I have a dumb-phone. Just for making occasional calls. Call me old-fashioned, but I'd just rather talk to people. Ha.

We don't have cable, but we do have digital bunny ears and recently added Netflix. Only the kids have time to watch it though. I've found all these great documentaries I want to watch, but I can't get a moment's peace! :/

If it was the early 1800's we would still have huge groves of American chestnut trees. And my general area would still be populated with bears, mountain lions, wolves, and a vast array of other wonderful creatures that I haven't seen in real life before. The widespread disease would be a hard thing to deal with. But you could always try asking the local tribe's shaman/medicine man, you know the one that probably has a bad case of measles or smallpox.

I haven't had cable since I was seven. And that's probably a good thing considering all of the stupid stuff they have on there these days. I have students in my class that still watch My little Pony. (Both guys and girls!)

My mom works at the library so can bring home dvd's anytime. She can keep them until they're a few weeks overdue.

I actually made a twitter account over a year ago, but then some twitter viruses started showing up. Plus, I can't be forced to use 140 letters or less! I don't even remember my login for it.

And then this texting stuff. whoof. Not me. Don't even know how to text.

My cell phone I guess still works, but I have not had it with a service for...since...
...scratching my head again...
about 3 years. And when I did go to verizon that time, the manager showed it to all the employees there, telling them about how antique cell phones like mine. He was amazed at the battery still working.

I may get a samsung something g before Hayley gets here from Australia in May. She'll show me how to work the contraption.

Funny, but yesterday was the first time I ever heard of cray cray, and now today is the 2nd time.
