DUI: Tree in Front Grill Ends in Pullover, Arrest for Illinois Woman

A woman driving outside Chicago with a tree smashed into the front grill of her car was charged with a DUI, the police department said Friday.

"A few weeks ago, a Roselle police officer saw a car driving southbound on Roselle Road with a 15-foot tree embedded in the front grill of the car," the Roselle Police Department wrote on its Facebook page, where it also posted a video of the stop.

I had the same thing happen to me and no one would believe that a tree could jump out from the side of the road and hit my truck, that's proof it can happen.
(I wasn't drunk when it happened to me)

I'm trying to figure out how the tree actually got in that position. It looks like it was cut off at the base. Did it fall down to the car from above? That wouldn't look like that if she just ran into a tree.

It looks like she hit it hard enough to bust right through the front grill.
between the grill and the hanging headlight is a vertical tree sized hole.
