That is a good point, perhaps the plants are celebrating the end of the horrible winter. They have been going full speed ahead for weeks now.

Absolutely gorgeous @jackb !

I wonder about the cycle also. Last year every one of mine exploded with blooms. Like most everyone though, we had a real hard winter. My yellow knockout bounced back great, but red, peach, and Bonica had to be cut back hard, thought I might even lose Bonica! :eek: But they are coming around, about 3 weeks later than normal.

Oddly, my miniature rose and (badly neglected) pink climber came through better than some average winters.

Jack, did you do the same thing each year with the roses? Prune and fertilize (or not) the same each year? The pics are beautiful, by the way!
