That was my worry with the meyer. I thought it was dead, then new growth from very low. I was not sure if it was root stock, I posted some photos on line and was told it is meyers. What i hate about meyers is everytime it is moved or light changes it drops all its leaves.
I had an issue with it on most of my citrus when I started. I'm trying to graduate them down in light, moving them towards shade, then bring them into a location with more light, and bring them in when the temperatures indoors and out are about the same. I have had 1 leaf drop on the Meyer, none on the Valencia. My Grapefruit trees have been in transition a little longer, and have dropped a few on the shady side, but they sat in full sun all summer and I've had them in almost full shade now for 2 weeks while I figure out where to put them; they grew too much this year.
