I just can't imagine....
It rained for something like 22 days in May here. I had to wear muck boots most of the time when I went in the back yard...
Nothing flooded.. I still had to water the garden..
I just can't imagine having to figure out how to live for days/weeks in a community that is as much under water as not.

I can't imaging repeated flooding. It would only take ONE time or better yet NONE! My sister is a river rat. Her house is probably $750,000. But she is still a river rat, an upscale river rat, but a river rat none the less. I wish she would move.

That is where Western Washington is very easy to take, we really for most part
do not have weather extremes unless you count drizzle extreme instead of just
annoying.. All be safe it is Gods will when are number is up doesn't matter
where or when :)
I have muck boots even black rubber ones as I do not have webbed feet

Yeah. Western Washington is pretty calm. We here in Colorado have crazy weather. Unlike Washington we weren't prepared for all our rain last May.

My Dad brought us here in 68... I make trips back to see my million or so cousins
and it seems so dead and dry now in Wisconsin / Minnesota

I had an uncle like that. He, his wife and 2 kids would come for Christmas dinner and bring a small bag of Oreo cookies. Then they would eat enough to feed a small 3rd world country.
