Me and the Corn!

I planted Daymon Morgan's Kentucky Butcher corn in late March. It is so TALL! DH and I were sitting in the front yard and a truck came down the street with the teenage boys in it pointing out the window at the corn! One stalk has really shot up, so I got out the ladder yesterday and measured it!

Well, duh, I guess ya'll wanna know how tall it is! Twelve feet tall!

Wow! The corn around here is about 2 inches high! I hope that corn tastes as good as it looks...

Whoa Bay! That's the tallest corn I've ever seen. Is it a flour corn?

It is a dent corn. I have a Family Grain mill and it won't mill flint corn, but it will mill dent corn. Dent corn is good right out of the corn patch too! Yum! I am trying different varieties this year to see if there is something I just fall in love with. The other half of the corn experiment is in the back yard and only 3' tall!
