After 24 hours 4/5 seeds had sunk to the bottom of the glass. From what I understand, this means that 4 are viable.

I ran the tea through a strainer to capture my seeds. Here they are:

I prepped the "greenhouse" and took in downstairs to my planting area, the old kichen sink and counter, that somebody had moved to the basement of my 100+yo house. It has h & c running water, and it drains into my home's cistern. GREAT place to get dirty!

I cut a flap in the greenhouse, per advice above, and

Bet you have success.. I see you used the milk jug idea:) It sure worked like crazhy for me.
I did seal my jug with a rubber band and put on top of the refrigerator to keep a constant good temp.
cant wait to hear about results..

Floatingseed does not necessarily mean not viable< but yes, sinkers seem to have a higher germination rate. Sometimes the seed coat just doesn't soak up.

That seriously looks like my kitchen from when I lived in Twin Bridges Montana!

I'm pretty sure that WAS part of my kitchen, at one time. It's got some nicks and dents, but works fine for my purposes. I probably should have cropped the bottom of the cabinets--my basement is pretty cluttered right now, but I just did a thorough floor cleaning and it smells so wonderful. I guess you couldn't...um..smell my basement--take my word for it. Had to share.

I'm going to guess that these kitchens were a very popular household item. Our house in Montana was built 1889, but I kind of think the kitchen, exactly like this, was put in around 1912 or so. It was a doctor's house at that time. My room was where a lot of kids were born, a lot of stitches were done, broken bones set, basic country doctoring.

Same sink, cabinet handles, aluminum trim...wow!
