The "solar weather" will be lost somewhat in this neck of the woods. The Northern Lights won't be seen with days and nights of snow & then rain is forecast! It has snowed lightly all day and there is about 3" now but it is supposed to snow again tonight and into tomorrow with some rain mixed in. Snow Sunday AM to be replaced by rain. Maybe it will progressively melt off over the next few days and not to be a flooding problem. Warmer ... at least. No doubt the fault of that guy pictured above.

10f, and in 20 more day’s we’ll QUIT losing daylight! Then 60 days after that we’ll be able to feel the heat from the sun! Then after roughly 60 more days i’ll populate the greenhouse then 30 days after that i’ll plant the garden And before you know it i’ll be right back here ordering seeds Again!

Isn’t it a wonderful Life? Thank you Lord!

Well, the difference between @Branching Out 's rain and our snow didn't last long. Our 5" of the white stuff is nearly gone.

I woke up to 48°f (9°C) and drizzling rain. This is after days of afternoon temperatures not topping the freezing mark. The melting was well on its way yesterday but footprints were still frozen on the sidewalk.

It's all melting – from 1200' elevation to 7,000', we are told. Continuing Rainstorms. West of the Cascades, there may be river flooding.

What a soaker that passed through over the last couple of days. I put out an extra tall container as a rain gage; the short one (650ml) was full to over flowing this morning, and the other one is pretty full too. Tomorrow will be sunny, and then four more days of rain.

snowed here a little last night and still gently drifting down this morning.

looks like the PNW is going to get plenty more today (including northern California). for those who had drought conditions for so long this at least should soak things down again.
