This is my baby sister Shannon's tree. She lives in Sparks Nevada.

Almost forgot! Took a picture of our Charlie brown tree a few days ago. It's still up BTW :) And the lights are all clumped into the center of the tree on the bottom because of Scooby, when he first came here he kept putting his head way into the tree and got the lights wrapped around him. Its a ponderosa pine.

Here's the lilac branches I cut and brought in at Thanksgiving time, took them a few weeks to sprout.

Aww, I like your tree! You don't often see Ponderosas as Christmas trees. :)
Ours was similar, but it was a Doug fir.
Did your lilac have buds when you cut them?

You know we've never had a ponderosa as a Christmas tree either! It was negative five degrees when we were out looking for a tree, but surprisingly we did pretty well! I was afraid the poor thing would drop every single needle when it warmed up, but its done great.

The lilacs set their little tiny leaf buds in the fall. I think it took about 3weeks of nothing before i finally saw a peak of green.
