So I was out weeding around the carrots and I saw what looked like a large sunflower sprout. I looked around for a sunflower seed and sure enough there was one right next to it. I carefully dug around it and transplanted it into a plastic pot I had. I guess I must have dropped a seed when I was planting the other sunflowers since I was planting them in plastic pots near the carrots.

I have five other sunflowers twice the size but do you think it'll make it? Thanks!

Hours later and it is still healthy looking!! Yep, it should be just fine!! (:

I have sunflowers popping up all over. Some of them are in bad spots so I move them to other areas. Just make sure to water well for a few days. Sometimes they will start to wilt, but a good watering should bring them right back. I have one sunflower growing out of a bale of straw that I have around my compost pile. It's getting bigger, can't wait to see how big it gets in there.
