Green beans.

During growing season, different produce comes in waves. For me, one of them is green beans.

Favorite way is to sauté in olive oil with onions and garlic. Little soy sauce in mix just a little bit before done.

I like them like that too, or in stir fry. But as ya'll know, am Southern and we fry everything. Dip green beans in buttermilk and dredge in a 50/50 mix of cornmeal and flour. Fry until browned. Dip in Ranch dressing.

Thanks for that. Sounds good. Now to get buttermilk.

OH My I must be boring. I eat my fill while picking fresh from the vine. ;) Then usually steam and serve with butter. What we freeze get used in vegetable beef soups all winter. But hey... I really think the way @seedcorn and @baymule fix them sound REALLY Good for Variety. Which will be needed as soon as the 60 feet of beans begin to produce.

Starting to love green beans (as kid had to be forced to eat them) but I can't eat raw. I like them steamed (boiled) in water, bacon, and onions. Even better next day.

I like to use fresh green bean casserole. Family members like it with out of can green beans better.

I like them fried with onions and bacon the best. Around the holidays I really like green bean cassarole, other times I like them boiled with butter on top. Also pickled green beans are a great snack anytime!

Steam them until just barely tender. Meanwhile, melt a gob of butter in a skillet and toast slivered almonds until they are golden and the butter is fragrant with almond. Pour over the green beans and listen to it sizzle, then chow down!
