Anyone Know What Kind of Spider ?

@Nyboy How big is it really? The photo makes HER look huge! But the seed pod next to her and burlap weave in photo lead me to think not all that big. Like Smart Red we only have black widow and brown recluse to worry about. I have never seen either, whew! But then we have GIANT Wolf Spiders. One of those would have sent nephew into orbit. LOL

I don't like spiders at all!!!! I've taken my share of showers with wolf spiders..... :hit:hide and I DON'T like it. Monty J always knows when there is one around too. I'd be in orbit with Carol Dee's nephew.!!!!!!!! :ep

ummmm..... doesn't that spider have 2 too many legs? Supposed to have 8, right? Or are the 2 little ones up front some sort of freakishly large mouth parts?????

Teacher time again: spiders have three body parts. That fat derriere is the abdomen, all eight legs come off the narrow middle section known as the thorax, and then there is the head, of course. Those two "extra" legs in front are probably feelers or antenna rather than real legs although they could be a part that brings food close enough to the mandible be eaten-- ten legs would make the animal a crustacean rather than an arachnid.

I don't mind bees at all, but I freak out when it comes to big spiders and ANY kind of snakes.
