To me my break is just a couple weeks before I get busy with 4h stuff. But in
I'm excited despite how crazy the summer can get.

Hey, so I've been away for way too long. Anyways, we haven't really done much except buying seeds for our garden. However, our meat chickens that I also count are ordered. It is certainly a 4h heavy week too. Of course I get to show Saturday and then head back for church and maybe be wide awake Sunday.

Colorado has been getting lots of warm weather this spring.

Because it's Colorado, things change and have changed now-&-then and quickly!

Is your gardening environment ahead or behind this year, @Poka_Doodle ?

So true! I think it's ahead, but it's never entirely safe to plant until after mother's day. We will often have snow somewhere near then.

Do you start your seeds inside, early or do you plant seeds directly in the soil?

We start seeds inside in some cool set thingy. Not sure how to explain it.

Not where I live kids are shipped of to boarding school, then sent off to sleep away camp. They might spend 6 or 8 weeks a year with their parents

Those parents are beyond stupid. The best years of my life were spent in the company of my kids. I'd do it all over again in a heart beat.
