I was looking for a table to hold some office equipment, when a client said they had a gateleg table I could have. Said table has been in their basement so long they don't remember where it came from. A gateleg table has leafs which flowed down when not needed, when table needs to be made bigger leaf is raised and a extra leg swings out to hold leaf up. I posted photos on a antique forum and found out table walnut 19th century, I believe handmade.
the middle photo you can see a box with x to mark center where pegs goes. That is sign handmade.
