It is HIS Birthday... no candle fires please!

And. . . I noticed you were able to post this morning with total clarity. I hope that means your great evening was met with a great morning after. We are supposed to get wiser as we age, you know. Sounds as if your evening was a righteous good party.

Nyboy, good for you for treating yourself to something you love. I don't mind buying expensive shoes. My problem is that I don't pay full price for them. Is that a problem? Maybe not. My favorite shoes are Cole Hans. Love the soft leather. I got some Cole Hans boots last year. I just love them! So soft and comfy. All of my good shoes are stored in their boxes.

Red that was Ralph Lauren boots that where so painful to walk in. I gave them to my cleaning lady for her son who was 16. He was very proud of them and never complained they hurt.

NYboy, I am glad that you are happy and satisfied with your new shoes and that you can enjoy wearing them for years to come. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit my short in leangth but w i d e feet. Mine are dress shoes of the similar style as yours. Quality shoes made in the USA , tan in color, soft leather and they fit like a glove and VERY comfortable to wear. I bought them for $39 on sale ( at a shoe store that was going out of business ) as they fit perfectly. So, I wear them on Holidays, going out to dinner, Birthdays and business meetings for the last 10 years. My everyday are a pair of Western boots, custom hand made by an Apache Indian that fit like a glove and are very comfortable to wear about 50 years ago that I paid $300 for. I have lost count as to the number of times that they were resoled.
