Your photos are simply beautiful!! We must be very strange to those who don't appreciate the massive variety of beans!

I'm sort of new to it, it still strikes me as an odd thing to be enthusiastic about. Yet I also love the great variety of plants and animals God put on the earth, and beans have such endless, and jewel colored, possibilities! By which I mean I'm quickly being converted lol.

What might be the names of the bean varieties bred from the Vavilov collection? Are they pictured in your bean photo postings with the wood grain background? Will you be posting more such photos of your beans in the future?

In my collection, some of the oldest varieties dating back to the Soviet Union era are:

All of them were previously preserved in the All-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (VIR) collection

Maybe I didn't put it correctly, or the translator app didn't convey the text accurately. I'm planting 300 varieties of beans this year alone, and that's only part of the collection. In reality, there are even more

Wow, I have to think thats alot even for a professional. Here I am trying to figure out how to get enough isolated growing space, yet large enough to grow a genetic diversity, to grow the 4 types of beans i have. You said you are an agricultural engineer, does that mean you are funded/given the space to use for this?

Wow, blooming prairie, Maggie, le katt and rose creek beauty are all quite eye catching! I think blooming prairie might become a one day goal for me now! Gorgeous

Blooming Prairie does look like one of the Robert Lobitz beans that I've grown here. yes, a pretty bean. nice plump ones he can grow. i've tried to get ahold of a grow all of the RL purple beans that look like BP (sourced from @Blue-Jay). i'm not sure if i've missed any.

i've done my best to distribute them in my area and at any seed swaps i've been to and sending them to a few people via the mail. i think i've probably given away at least a thousand samples (of just Purple Dove) along with other beans that people have wanted from me over the past five years at seed swaps, but i've also been sending some beans around from my first few years of gardening.

Oh wow! So I need to hit you up! I am probably full on beans for this year, I dont think I have another growing space far enough to prevent crosses. But I would love to get some from you for next year! That light purple is my favorite color. I'm also looking for any lapis lazul level blue beans, and maybe some colorful limas. Sorry I dont have names, I'm still new!
