Help Me Choose

I just order 3 yards of it, cost almost as much as bench. Bench $50 fabric $40 I think for under $100 its a good deal
Why 3 yards? Back up for if and when it wears out? It was wide enough to do bench with width and one yard should have covered the depth!

I had no idea how much fabric it would take. I wanted era on side of to much, then not enough. I could not fit it in car so still at country house. I posted the ad for it on a antique forum. A member who really knows her antique said 1910 and was most likely caned. She dated it by wooden wheels. @Carol Dee wish I could mail to you. About 5 members commented it was a steal at $50.

Depending on the condition I might be able to recane seat, but considering it has had padding and upholstery added it may not be viable any more. And I would say a cane seat would not hold up in a waiting area with dog claws. I like the fabric you bought. You have enough to set some back and keep for when 1st cover gets too stained or worn.

I love this fabric!! ~$10.00/yard isn't expensive and it looks hard wearing.
Also with woven (vs. printed fabric which is white on the back or wrong side) you could buy extra and coordinate with the wrong side of the fabric which is often very interesting, too.

You CAN use the wrong side of the fabric for other things in your decor than upholstery.
