Very cool do you know about how many acres she has
Nope. She is kind of small. Yet she has planted flower everywhere! You can cut from anything she has. Maybe 2 to 3 Acres. That is counting her yard. This is her home :)

The family & I went for a walk last week, after dinner. We passed a house along the way, and I noticed a huge hornet nest in their tree, about 10' above the sidewalk to their front door. It was about 12" across, and very active. There are a lot of children in that area, so I let the home owner know about the nest. We went for another walk last Sunday, and I looked at the tree, expecting to see the nest gone. Nope!!!:ep Still there, and even bigger. IMO, the home owner is begging for disaster. One of my childhood memories is of unknowingly walking under just such a nest, and suddenly finding a swarm of angry wasps around me, being stung several times as I ran.

Hornets are temperamental, you never know what will set them off. One year hornets built a nest under the raised deck by the pool, no one knew it was there, and no one was stung, UNTIL... DD was sunbathing on the deck one day, and I turned on the pool pump. Apparently the hornets didn't like the sound of the pump, because I looked up to see hornets swarming through the deck, and around DD. I yelled at her to run, and as she did, she was stung several times. Had I not warned her, it could have been much worse. I am justifiably wary of hornet nests in locations where people will be in close proximity.

I wonder if we are calling 2 different hornets by same name? The ones in our front yard were peacable (mowed under their nest) and ate every yellow jacket close to our place. I welcome them back.
