I have worn these a few times. Then wore them Saturday to work in flower beds , FIVE hours of weed pulling and these gloves are toast! But the flower beds sure look better.

I wish they made a finger replacement patch for work gloves. Hmm, I could invent that.:clap

duck tape! :)

while i generally dislike plastic the work gloves that are dipped in plastic/rubber for the gripping parts do last a while when i use them. they're not indestructable, but i'd guess i get 30-50 uses out of them. the previous gloves i used were all cotton disposable work gloves and not made to be reused much at all. i'd get perhaps 2-5 uses out of them and then Mom would try to stitch up the holes in the fingers a few times and then we'd throw them away. once we ran out of those we switched to the plastic coated ones and they've held up ok. they stinky tho until they get washed a half dozen or more times.

Wow, 5 hours of weeding! Good job! You should have taken before and after shots Carol Dee. I bet it felt good to get that all done, except for your poor fingers of course.

I like Atlas nitrile gloves. They are fairly durable, but thin and light so you get a good feel on what you're working with. I use them for a month or two, and if I keep my fingernails short the fingertips last longer.

They are getting very hard to find around here, so I have been ordering packs of six online. You don't get to pick the colors, which is not really a big deal, but bubblegum pink is not my favorite. Although I've found they work as well as the other colors.;)

@so lucky, I have thought of that too, because the only thing wrong with a lot of my gloves is the holey fingertips. Usually the index finger. I bet you could cut the fingertips off an old pair and super glue them over the holey finger. Why don't you get right on that and report back?

Kevlar-impregnated cut gloves are great for weeding, virtually indestructible. I've been using a pair all summer, and other than washing them when they became too dirty, they have needed no care. Pretty comfortable too, they flex easily, and keep your hands cool.

Do you have a name for these? I'm always interested in good garden gloves.
