My perfect hell

I seriously do not mind snakes. Even though I am not one to cuddle them etc. But this video....the situation...EWWWWW :th:sick:ep

Snake bbq. Id of doused that building and thrown a match at it. Holy moley!

Here, all the rain drives the rodents into our homes. The cats have been catching mice lately. Two I have seen. Dead. Cat caught them. Gives 'em something to do

i like snakes and am facinated by almost any form of life. if you don't want them in or near your home you do need to build properly to keep them out. unfortunately, an old shed in what kind of situation is really impossible to know if it was empty or what the foundation was like to let them all in like that.

here on our property we have snake habitat on purpose. it goes with the chipmunks and the mice and all the other creatures who live here too. not that i really want them, but it is impossible to keep them out of the area with so many rocks as we have.

the house is sealed up almost properly. just one or two small gaps left for me to take care of this spring/summer/fall.

This house is nothing but gaps. Holes. Etc. When we finally got moved into the house-after 100 days of rehab just to bring it up to substandard- I caught a black racer heading for our bedroom. The one room that is critter resistant. I pursuaded him to go into the corner floor cabinet. Let DH deal with it when he got home. After that, the door stays CLOSED. Now I have 3 to 4 cats in the house, so they keep the mice at bay and the snakes outside. I hope.

Of course, there are other important uses for snakes:

Pets can be a rodent's best friend. Having Garbanzo the Dog here meant food on floor. It's no longer left out at night but ... Garbanzo is the right size to catch a mouse but DW insists that she is in her carrier overnight.
