I 3 yo is a good age for a dog. They have finally left "the terrible two's" and gained some maturity and sense.

...sigh...
I feed Eva a LOT of cheese cubes to keep her listening.
For you chicken people, here is a thought. Can anyone imagine that having a breed of domestic chickens the size of a Bernese could possibly be a good idea?

Finally, there is some winter weather.

Oh, there has been winter. I have been trying to decide what kind of winter this is ... it's like, what? 500 miles south? The Pacific ocean side of the Cascades? Nah.

Maybe down in Utah's cotton belt? Well, let's not be an alarmist!

The temperature everywhere around here right now is below 20°f. There may be several single digitS'. It seemed to snow aaalll of yesterday and never warm above freezing but I'm still trying to understand why there is only the same 1/2" of snow on my fence boards. Yeah, lawn grass still appears here and there.

No day in the 7 day forecast for a single afternoon high above freezing. Everywhere, hereabouts, will be in single digitS' tomorrow and, maybe, several other mornings. Chilly ... we will have to hope for no wind. Maybe some more snow but pretty dang dry ... Not unseasonable February weather but what happened to our snow? Where was the sub-zero temps?

There is a major storm blowing into Hawaii. How vulnerable does one feel to be living on an island ... planet ...

We have 6' to 8' new feet of snow ~ I moved some snow yesterday ~ with just a snow blower ~ Can't find the tractor keys ~ do you remember where I put them ::???? ```

Now that's snow! Pretty typical for your area though, right?
I think you should check the laundry, I saw you put the keys in your pocket... ;)

we had some snow/ice so there was about an inch and a half layer of crust on the drive. since i didn't want a repeat of the last time i went out and scraped off the top part of the drive so if anyone came over they would have a safe place to walk.

Mom told me that i could not have all the fun so she went out and did the rest of it.

tomorrow it is supposed to be warm and rain after a bit of cold tonight and then a return to snow and freezing Thursday night. most of the snow is gone now. i'd like to see a good layer come back. i like it much better with a white blanket out there...

we'll be back into the single digits soon enough.
