many of you have been wondering where i have been and why st.pattys day is a saddening...

on march 17th my father passed away quietly at home from a year long battle with Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia cancer. thank goodness both my sisters were there to help him cross over.
he was a loving father, he touched a untold amount of people's lives though his giving to the community and his religious devotion going to numinous prisons for outreach programs every sunday and sometimes the whole weekend...

until last year he would go swimming every day he belonged to the usms <us masters swimming organization>over his lifetime he held records that were not beaten till a few years ago, he loved open water swimming as well, can remember dad dragging the family down a couple times a year when he would swim the golden gate, alcatraz, angel island events. one of the few people who have swam the length of lake tahoe.

in his well he requested for his ashes to be spread either in sf bay or tahoe, of cali is one of the most uptight state about were you can spread ashes. but the way all of us siblings figure screw them..

wish i could go further in depth but as of now there's going to be a legal battle between us 4 and his spouse,
may she choke on her honey balls.....

think this is one of the most memorable photos of dad

@majorcatfish thanks for letting us know. i was worried 'bout you...

i'm sorry to hear about your father passing away and also the prospect of the children and the spouse fighting.

i figure i can walk along any beach with a hole in my pocket letting Mom's ashes fall where she wishes and nobody would know a thang and the beach would be just a bit more.

Oh, mc...so sorry for your loss! It sounds like you and your father had a wonderful relationship. I hope the will drama will not be too awful in the end.

Sorry for your loss. We had trouble finding an appropriate place to spread our daughter's ashes too. We wanted to spread her on a christmas tree farm, as she loved looking at the lights, but everyone pretty much slammed the door in our faces when we asked.

We ended up spreading them on a favorite nature trail. I don't regret where we put her, but I'm still hurt by the treatment of the people who we spoke to.
