Look up "Blossom End Rot". Is that what you are seeing? If it is, that's a calcium deficiency typically caused by uneven watering or it being too dry. Interesting that it would affect one but not the other.

Everything else I can think of has been covered.

if the foliage isn't dying and the ends of the vines are continuing to grow or there are new leaves coming on my guess is lack of pollination. when the blooms open up in the morning take a small paintbrush and get some pollen from a male flower and swish it around in some female flowers.

certain bee species are really good for polllinating squash, cucumbers and melons but they've been hit hard in recent years by pesticides and diseases.

are you in the city or in the suburbs or in the country?

do you see other bee species around like bumblebees and other bees that aren't honeybees?

That is what I am seeing. I have read that the soil should be wet approximately 3-4 inches down. If it's calcium how do I fix that?

I live in the suburbs and, now that you have mentioned it, I have not seen many bees at all. I will try this in the morning. Thank you.
