My A. angulosis has by now had DOZENS of flowers, and at least one seems to have taken and made a pod (so I will have seed for next time.)

is that an annual?

Actually I don't know. I will say that, if it is an annual, it put a LOT of effort into developing a woody trunk. I suppose we won't really know until all the flower buds are used up and all the pods ripen. If the plant dies after that, it was an annual.

i had to wiki it just to see what that was. but the wiki didn't say anything about it being an annual or not.

well, if you look at its genus fellows, okra is an annual, manihot is an annual, ambrette is one. Inferring from that this is probably an annual as well.

Well, i have harvested the first two pods off the plant, and there is now no question, it is A. angulosis. The plant may look a little like A.manihot but the seeds are too round and too large. They look JUST like okra seeds (which would make sense for a wild okra.)
