So, what are you doing or will be doing to stay in shape during the "off season?"

I'm back to walking the Indoor Mile. Part of today's mile was outdoors. It's been a nice day :).

Started indoors by playing one of my favorite walking songs Time is Tight, by Booker T & the MGs link. Went on to Eddie Floyd, Knock on Wood link. I'll tell you, I was moving!

Are you ready for some off season exercise?

Aerobic is the heart + exercise. Movement gets you there. It also improves flexibility, which improves joint health and eases any exercise. Walking is supposed to be very appropriate aerobic exercise.

If there is lifting involved along with walking, that sounds like muscle strengthening.

The heart health people suggest measuring pulse and targeting relative to age. There is also professional monitoring of the heart while exercising to establish a target. That makes sense but, perhaps, more for athletes or someone in rehab therapy. Target rates on charts out there for my age are easy peasy ;). Shucks, there has to be some advantage.

leftover Halloween candy
Mary, you once asked about changing a title. The time allowance offered the chance for me to add the word Candy to yesterday’s thread ;).

I do have a thread around here on the 2 catalogs received. It’s always the same 2 but I have the start of bathroom reading for the next few months :).

Jack o’Lantern, with the local post office has today off so he won’t be rolling by with his tricks.

Oh you lucky catalog readers! My LEM meat preservation catalog came and I so looked forward to laying on the couch and reading it with the new pupper. But she anointed it when I left it on the floor. I gave her a piece of dried chicken and pointed out how much she should have let me read that catalog.
