Yes, I received a similar email about March 1st, and my seeds arrived last week.
Well, I got another email today, saying my order is being processed, so I went and checked the tracking number, which gave me the message that the number couldn't be tracked. :barnie So I went to the order, there is a new tracking number for it. Which, when tracked, says the tracking number has been set up, but the PO doesn't have the package yet. This is fun! :he

Given that planting time is approaching for many - and that rice needs to be started early in Northern climates - their business model is in need of improvement. All the more frustrating because for much of what they offer, there are no easily-accessible alternate sources.Truly sad, because their emphasis on grains & staples, selection of rare varieties, and very helpful website, are all commendable.

Thank you @Zeedman this order is to be frozen, so not a problem for this year. I'm just impatient. I have no doubt the order will arrive. You gave me hope when your email came and order arrived the next week.

I have started to order seeds to freeze, just in case they aren't available later.
Edited to correct spelling.

i've had packages arrive before the tracking number was assigned. normally it seems to take a day. the irk gets me when i specifically put in our home address as the shipping address but they still dump the package off at the PO Box instead. grrr... no, i really don't want to make a run into town to pick up a package that i said i wanted here - why am i paying shipping when you can't even get it to the right place?

I hear you. When I first moved to Salem, I discovered that, at that time, the PO did not like the way the addresses were set up here. The compass directions are at the end of the address line, not in the middle. So NOT NE Lancaster St., but Lancaster St. NE. Places kept changing my address and I wouldn't get the mail, cause there was no such address. What a pain that was. I still don't know how we ended up with streets W. Nobb Hill SE and E. Nobb Hill SE.

Nobb might explain it...

@Zeedman My order from Great Lakes Staples Seeds arrived today. There is quite a bit of yellow seeds in the New York Red Flint Corn I bought. It's one of the Cob Tips and Butts package. I'm gonna sort it and see what percentage is yellow. Might have to do two different grow outs on it to see what happens. If you want some Floriana Red Flint Corn seed, let me know. I bought a pound and can send you some for your freezer, till you can grow it,

I went to purchase some Grindelia seed but noticed the prices seemed higher than normal. Turns out some broccoli I purchased from this same company at $3.95 in January is now $4.50! ☹️ I'm conflicted as to whether I want to do business with them in the future.

Everything is going up, but our incomes. Sigh. Anymore, mailing costs are almost as much as just buying the seeds. So sad.

Yes, but when it is a product they already have on hand (so they've had no further expense on their end)... and shipping/handling are charged separately, then I question their integrity. I'm quite conflicted over this.
