A new to me easy to grow green passed the taste test for a raw addition to a salad for me. It passed the stir fry taste test for my family.
Tatsoi. From the Baker Creek catalog. "50-55 days. Tatsoi is nicknamed Vitamin Green, and rightfully so. This gourmet green is known as one of the richest sources of vitamin C and it is replete with other incredible vitamins, minerals, and health-promoting compounds! Its glossy and tender leaves pack 2 times as much vitamin C as that of an orange and twice as much calcium as an equal serving of milk! Tatsoi also boasts glucosinolates (which science shows are converted to cancer fighting compounds in the body) and carotenoids, which promote eye health. You won’t have to bargain with your kids to get them to eat this veggie. It’s super sweet and easy to love, with a mild and refreshing flavor. The low-growing rosettes are comprised of tiny, glossy spoon-shaped leaves that boast crisp and juicy mouth-feel."

There is a World of Asian veggies out there :).

@Zeedman and I seemed to both catch our breath when Kitazawa Seed was sold to True Leaf. Just on the basis of one year, it looks like they might maintain the available selection.

Try not to be confused by names. In the West, we are still trying to sort things out and calling something a "Chinese Cabbage," or whatever, is sometimes a reflection of that. It's just best to try them and realize that they may come from different places with different languages and the western seed companies have to come up with a way to advertise them.

CatJac, Pine Tree in New England has a Paitsai that I am curious about. They call it a Fun Jen and I have been happy with Fun Jen, especially when I had that more-protected garden that had a corner that was so good for growing salad greens.
