Good Morning.

French toast and an apple for breakfast. Reading about names and words this AM. Haven't decided on second breakfast menu yet. Really, these daily events are just holdovers from a work schedule and reflect my opportunity to cook something for "coffee break." One place I worked never had an afternoon break and morning break was toooo often sacrificed, IMHO! Making up for it .

Words. If you are interested in having only ONE meal a day, I have learned a word for it: Brelundi. Sure, you can say it and put it in practice, if'n you really want to.
Breakfast . Lunch . Dinner. Brelundi

I had my second cup of coffee. I have been trying to keep the house warm. It was 11 degrees a few minutes ago, but the sun is out. DD and kids are coming over and we are going to mess around shopping at thrift stores and see what we can find. I have been housecleaning and deciding how to change things up and do some decorating. I am also sewing for my Etsy shop and deciding what to sew for the kids next. My friend in Kansas died. Very strange not to talk to her about things each day. Talking to one of her daughters more than I used to and she has such a mess to figure out with the property and bills and they will have to get a lawyer to help with it all. Her 5 children are going to be shocked what it is like without the one who had their backs all these years. She has a daughter and son who needed her often to get them out of messes. I am going to see if I can find some potting soil and start getting things ready to start seeds next month. DD wants to do some of the winter sowing in milk jugs and I might be a couple of things out in the yard and see what happens. I have decided my garden is going to be very small this year.

I lost my life long (2nd grade) best friend this past April, very sudden. Her Mom is still alive at 93, but time is limited and she fades in and out. I've tried speaking with her but it's not a satisfactory conversation for all involved. Not having my friend to talk to, especially since losing my other best friend, my sister, back in 2014, it's quite an adjustment. It kind of gets easier over time, sort of. There are moments and I'm sure you will experience them. Hopefully contact with your friend's daughter will help ease those moments, as well as comfort her also.

we have sunshine, but at this time of the year that also means it is likely pretty cold, and yes it was last night down just a hair below zero F. aka -18.3 C.

i like it and some days last summer and early all i was practicing that. good way for me to lose a few extra.

as to whether it is completely accurate or not i'm not sure what you would think of a light evening snack after having a pint of chili for breakfast (with hot sauce ). it really did hold me up through the whole day yesterday. today is squash and probably some ham and cheese rolled up together. nothing too fancy but good enough.

Okay, this pops into my head upon reading your post. Same song I sang in the garden every time I saw the Sunshine squash! (what can I say, 2022 had an extended dark spring/early summer over here!)

Coffee-less, as usual. Needs me some caffeine! Not coffee though, can't stand the smell (and can't tolerate the effects).

Coffee with raisin bran & yogurt, with a dash of chasing a horse around the inner sanctum for 20 minutes and calling for Eva for another 10 minutes, making me late to meet the plumber at DD's house.

Good Morning ALL! Just a quick check on here before my day gets started.
Right now it's 36 (ACTUALLY feels colder than that) with rain (computer is telling me Wintery Mix though).
Coffee is ready and HOT so let's all sit and enjoy peace & quiet as we're waiting for daylight.
