Garden humor thread..

My folks had DECADES worth of Readers Digest Condensed Books... do any of yall remember those?
Yes, my Grands used to get Readers Digest, as well as the condensed books. I was in my teens, and relished reading them both. For a lot of years, I collected issues of Readers Digest & National Geographic, in hope that my own children & grandchildren would enjoy them. But in the course of several moves (one into a much smaller home) those books were left behind.

I wish I still had all of those NatGeo issues now; they are not only educational, they are historical snapshots of things & places now gone forever.

of course! i would read those but the idea to me of a condensed book was sort of sacrilege since i was a fast reader and so why get a shorter version? we had a set of encyclopedias and in emergencies (when i ran out of other reading material) i would read through those.
