not specifically, but i think any onion seeds you may have on hand should work for small ones.

I threw in onions and leeks in a small bed 2 weeks ago. The little hairy things are up and happy. Providentially, the north bed of the garage, where I planted them, doesn't dry out quickly and always looks damp.

"Robbie" is talking about bulbing onions. I hadn't even thought of the possibility! No, there won't be a chance of a 6 week start before a July transplanting.

Checked the garden center racks this AM and selection is lim•i•ted. We will try some Walla Walla and, maybe, another.

Interesting that Ducks' article suggests Stuttgarter. At one time, that was the only variety here for sets.I understand that seeds are planted late for those and Stuttgarter has special value for sets because of its bulb Winter storage qualities.
