Coffee is ready. I’m tired, slept in recliner holding newborn lamb all night. He woke me up often, he pooped, peed and took some colostrum. We are on day 2 of a brand new life.

The recliner has been a sleeping location recently. Four and five hours in bed isn't as planned. Several things involved but the temperature of the house is likely involved and my senior sensitivity to it. The house is fairly well insulated but outdoor temperature has varied a good deal this week. Also, cloudy skies vs hours of blazing sunlight — these add up to differences in the temperature of walls, roof, attic. Sleeping under only a sheet had become something of a habit. Then, I wanted that blanket ... now, I'm back to being too warm.

After 2 errands run yesterday, I dozed off with an afternoon nap. It was needed. I will be busy today and hope that I won't be disrupting sleep patterns by napping during daylight hours. Now, to git to sum of it!

I rarely get to hot inside my home. I have planted trees around to help cool my home which is heavily insulated to save electricity. Hopefully the trees will continue to do their job cooling the entire home and garden area by 10-20 degrees .

Trees contribute to cooling the environment through two primary processes. Shading reduces the amount of solar radiation reaching the ground and surfaces, thus lowering the temperature. Transpiration, the process where trees release water vapor from their leaves, has a significant cooling effect as the water evaporates, absorbing heat from the surrounding air.

Peeled and sliced 2 apricots to go with Wheat Chex. Bing cherries on the side. Oolong tea with the herbal brewing on the stove. 61⁰f (16⁰C) outdoors at 4AM. I have 2 windows open to the fresh air and 3 fans running. It was 72⁰ (22C) in the house — it could have been 10 degrees F cooler and I would have been comfortable with a sheet and 2 light blankets. @Shades-of-Oregon , we lost the large tree on the south side of the house about 3 or 4 years ago. We have a small peach tree growing there now.

Cinammon rolls incoming! I didn't finish my first coffee, but now it's the time for the 2nd.
