Your Weather, 2025

Speaking of leaves blowing, years ago we lived in a cul-de-sac at the very center of the curve. Every fall, all of our neighbor's leaves piled up deep in our driveway and front lawn! It was so much work bagging up everyone's leaves along with our own!!
Oh, the joys of suburbia!
Oh yes the “Joy’s”… had the very same issue with home located in the center going down hill section of a cul-de-sac not only did fall leaves pile up but also winter winds blew snow across our driveway and home creating snow drifts 8’-14’ high. Drifts across the front door and driveway blocking the garage doors. However, the kids could dig a tunnel out thru the snow drifts. Carving out snow caves to get outside. Childhood creativity.

@Dahlia @Shades-of-Oregon , I was prepared for you to say something about the little rainstorm you had. Had geared up my envy resistance and prepared for being supportive of neighbors in the PNW.

Our night of 60% rain never happened. The storm out of Oregon looked as though it blew into 2 parts with the smaller part not making it over the Cascades and blowing due north to Seattle area. The larger part came across mostly on the Oregon/California border and headed into the Rockies about 100 miles south.

Okay, I can go ahead with my lunchtime pity party.

Dang, Steve--AND you are getting frost tonight, too!!!
We are totally opposite--high's around 90 during the day, NO RAIN in sight, dry as a bone.
I have NO pasture left, so ponies are only in the turnout around the barn and I am feeing hay, 1 bale/day, 2 horses.
They are relishing night time, too dry for mosquitoes, good eating time, and both are putting on weight.
Looks like a real winter this time, but it sure doesn't FEEL like it.
I Should add that my pastures will recover...

Oh no.

With this blanket of clouds, the thermometer won't fall below the high 40' f (9°C above freezing H2O.) Temperatures will flirt with freezing by Sunday morning and continuing for the remainder of the 7 days in the forecast. Certainly, it is time for freezing temperatures.

We barely got a sprinkle! There was quite a bit of wind though! Nothing to be envious of! 🙂

Same here! The snow collected in big drifts blocking our driveway and front door! We did get to build an enormous snowman tho!
