Happy 2026 to all you easy gardeners out there. According to the Chinese zodiac, this will be the year of the fire horse. It's the season of house plants for those of us in northern climates without heated greenhouses. The geraniums I rooted from slips this fall, and the coleus I grew from seed are doing well. I'm planning to get my little indoor grow kit going with some salad greens any day now.

Anyone making NY resolutions? I didn't this year, just going to wing it I guess. Peace and warmth to all of you.

thank you! newp, nothing new here, continue my decluttering as i can get to it and not add any more stuff unless i absolutely have to. and by stuff i also mean chores! i don't want any more of those either.

it's going ok so far. i even have some empty spaces in the bookshelves. now that i also got rid of the worm buckets i've opened up some floor space again that was taken up for 15 years.
