Her mention of the importance of living things requiring care, pets and/or plants, is spot on. I'd be lost without my two dogs. I've always lived with animals, although the pet population here is at an all time low compared to previous eras. Life would be desolate without them.

A cat lady and gardener who clearly also reads a lot. She's one of us!

I so miss my Oliver. He's had such bad luck. There's been a menace cat that turned up a couple of years ago. He threatened my old dog, before he died, my chickens and now he's been into Olivers little home and sprayed it.

All that on top of manic loud workmen next door. I haven't seen him since the freezing weather. . Life's not the same.

At least I have Nancy. If Oliver ever comes back I'll be ecstatic. And Nancy will have to deal with it ,because I will move him indoors.
