Do you know what kind of weeds? The 4th one I wonder if it's a potato plant or something?

A few different plants to ID

I've got a couple of different plants that I'm not sure what they are. I wouldn't be surprised if the first 2 are "weeds", but it seems like a lot of plants regarded as weeds are very healthy to eat and juice (like dandelion greens). This one is a red leaf lettuce, correct? Whatever these...

Random plant growing in my garden...

Curly dock... yeah, that certainly looks like it. There's no flowers on it right now. Can you use it for anything?

Random plant growing in my garden...

Well, I don't know for sure that it's not a weed, obviously, but there's a ton of plants growing in there (mostly melons) from scraps that we dumped, so it certainly could be a plant, and it could be a weed. We do get a lot growing from the scraps, though - last year we had little avocado...

Random plant growing in my garden...

I have no idea what this is. It's a pretty good size - probably 14 to 18 inches tall now. At first we thought it might be a potato plant, but after looking them up online, it looks nothing like one. It's growing in the one of the beds of my garden (we did dump food scraps/compost in there...

What is this, and is it edible?

Can anyone ID this plant? It's growing right next to a stinging nettle plant (neither of which I actually planted...) What's interesting, though, is I had read at one point about certain plants relieving the sting of the nettle, and that they grew near them. When my mom got stung by...

    What is this vicious plant?

Wow, it sure does a lot of stuff! Maybe I shoudl plant a bunch of it... :) (fenced in where I won't touch it, of course) ;)

    What is this vicious plant?

After researching them both online, I do think it's the stinging nettle. The effects of it sure seem spot on, and it looks pretty similar to some of the pictures I saw. But then I guess a plant like that would know that it should grow in an organic garden where it can be used! :rolleyes...

    What is this vicious plant?

(for pictures, see posts below) I went out to pick some lettuce from our garden about an hour ago, and when I went to pick a piece of lettuce, my pinky finger brushed up against this weed and I didn't think anything of it. About 3 seconds later when I had pulled my hand back, it started...

    What are these?

Just out of curiosity, do the ground cherry plants get different kinds of fruit depending on the exact type? Can you eat them raw?

    What are these?

Well, cool! :) I looked them both up, and they certainly look like the right things. Thank you very much!! The first one, the motherwort, it says it's in the mint family and that it's used to treat things like insomnia, stomach cramps and gas, and menstrual issues. Can you just eat it like...

    What are these?

Thanks for the welcome! :) I don't think it's abutilion. The leaves look very similar, but the flowers don't. Here's close-ups of both.
