I am thinking to put the 3 vines along the smaller side of the fence, with the one that I think is the male, in the middle. then the females would each have a corner. I think it will work. Sounds like they are easy to propagate, too? Our fence is wood post with chainlink. Almost like a...
South of Bixby, here! :welcome If you're south of Norman, are you Zone 7B? I'm Zone 7.
I'm finishing up my tomato planting, and a few more peppers right now. Trying Kiwi vines for the first time, and just got done replanting my corn...darn chickens! :tongue LOL!
What all are you...
Has anyone grown this before? They are the shiny green leaves, not the pink, white, and green. Apparently, they are hardy here in OK, and the guy said they are the fuzzy brown ones. He'd never heard of the small smooth ones.
I am debating where to put them. I had planned to put them on...
It looks like a squash/melon vine of some kind. If someone threw out a cantaloupe or something like that, it would grow like crazy in the compost. I would try it in a container and see what happens.

Keep them watered well, at first. Or, better yet, mulch! They should do well with your Azaleas. I love my Bleeding Hearts. Have you tried ferns there? There are some really pretty ones. I have a hardy asparagus type fern that looks great. Very fairy-like. ;) Have you tried Hostas there...
Oh yeah! :thumbsup Love any oriental lilies and trumpet lilies. They are all really fragrant! :throw I'm getting more Casa Blancas to put in my new yard, too. I am soooo ready for it to warm up so I can start moving my beds around! :pop :barnie LOL!
Nightshade, what other night...
did you start your asparagus from seeds or roots? I have ordered some seeds from Baker Creek, and am curious how to germinate and transplant. Also how many years I'll have to wait to harvest!
Congrats on your sprouts!

Does anyone know (this might be another stupid question! LOL!) but we like the fingerling potatoes (roasted in olive oil with garlic and rosemary :drool ) so would we just harvest the regular potatoes early, or are they a different breed? Should I just pick up some fingerlings and let them...
LOL! Yeah, I think your foxglove needs to be upgraded! :th I discovered a neat little pack of seeds in the stuff she sent me...it is "Pink Fairy" Lupine. Apparently it is evening scented, also! :celebrate She threw it in as an extra, but now I don't know where to plant it. I have never had...
Gorgeous! We eat flowers, also! I love to take people around my garden and offer them bites. You should see the surprise on their faces when it actually tastes good! LOL! I think my favorite is offering them Dianthus. They are the most surprised at that, I think.
My kids love to eat...
MomofDrew-that is SO COOL that you get to visit Johnny's! My dream plant vacation is to visit Plant Delight's nursery in North Carolina! :bow LOL!
This may be a stupid question, but what do you do with your beets? Do you pickle them? Eat them raw? Cook them like turnips? We never eat...
