Yeah well, it will be up and running looong before noon. And, it's Love Day!
Chopped apple, raisins, brown sugar, butter, and oatmeal in the bowl, oolong in the cup. It is very foggy again, 1/4 mile visibility and 21f (-6°C). It may not rise above freezing today despite there being some sunshine. Snow tonight and, maybe, into tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Day to all my fellow gardeners out there. Brewed coffee this AM but typically it didn't agree with my stomach. (I like coffee but it no longer likes me.) Drinking wine now with better results, soon to switch to herbal teas of some sort.
This February thaw has got me thinking about the gardening season to come. Early spring is predicted for 2024, and I believe it's true watching a male cardinal singing on a branch of my dead crabapple tree in front yard in full red mating plumage, and neighbor's hens laying already so I picked up a dozen yesterday at her egg stand.

the winter hammer is coming down here for a short spell. maybe this will all be melted again soon. looks rather nice out there now, but i am also glad to not have to be out driving in it.
i had some water and may not have breakfast at all today since i ate some cheese and crackers before bed (not a good thing to do but the theme was a hot sauce craving and that was one way to get that fix).

Coffee is ready. Going to have my second cup before I dash out to do chores. Then I’m going to a friend’s place for Day 3 of taping and floating sheetrock. Today we sand what we have done so far. I have this neat pad on a long stick that clips to a screen that really smoothes the dried mud , SO much better than sandpaper!

Good Morning. Very happy to have slept in. Awake repeatedly through the night for no good reason. Could have climbed outta bed at a fairly common 3AM. Tried going back to sleep and It Worked! An extra 2 hours. Should be of help for my day 🙂.
Snowing. Time to start the herb tea brewing. Coffee as a pick-me-up, later.

Tea(s) are brewing. Peanut butter Chex and Rice Chex with raisins and banana in the bowl.
Busy driving day yesterday and was back up in the lazyboy before midnight. That ain't a place to catch more than a nap.
Grumpy Forum "hall monitor" this morning – if the troll had copied @heirloomgal 's 2023 tomato comment & posted it on tomatoes 2024, I may not have caught it. I don't comprehend the reasons for this sorta thing but I reported it, just outta lack of sleep grouchiness.

Good Morning. Yes, the fruit is grown and enjoyed in Asia. Wikipedia tells me, however, that Dragon Fruit is native to Central America!
I wonder if DW knew that when she decided to buy one, recently. Cut it up and have 2 small pieces in my bowl of peaches along side the cold cereal with banana
Maybe this is a good time for sharing how Asian cooking can contribute to our gardening. We are certainly into the simpler parts of that. I have out my Chinese cookbook, which is mostly good for inspiring photos since our home cooking only involves the simplest versions, as previously noted. Too early to think of stir-fries! Even if I am up late on a Sunday. I'll see what I can think of as the day progresses. How about you?
